Happy Birthday Eddy Lepp
Written on May, 24, 2011 – Eddy’s Birthday
Well, I turned 59 today last night and as I laid in bed and said my prayers, I thought about my life. I have lived nearly six decades. I grew up a child of God, a hippy, always believing– even when I went to NAM [Vietnam]– that there had to be a better way.
As I thought about things I realized that in that whole time, not one day has passed without a war or police action going on somewhere in the world.
From the Berlin wall to the unrest in the Middle East, it has spanned my lifetime. I wonder at which point God will tire of the killing, raping, stealing, harming children and all the other things we do to each other, often in the anme of God, thinking people must die because tehy choose to find the most high in a different way than we believe. They should realize the most dangerous of us all are the ones who believe they know God’s plan. We are not a nation of Christians, Muslims or any other religion. We are a nation of people who should all look for the best in each other and be willing to help find and bring it out for the good of all.
As I laid my head down and prayed for something I have never seen, something many before me have asked for, something I pray we all will see soon– a world not divided by war, by hate, by color, by religion, by sex or by sexual preference– but a world where we are all truly children of God.
I love you all and hipe I turn 60 in a much more loving world than the one we share now.
RESPECT ALL
HURT NONE
LOVE ONE ANOTHER
