Ask Ed Marijuana Growing Tip #2: Keeping The Plants In Your Garden Dry

Many of our readers are growing outdoors and probably have noticed that the plant has changed from vegetative (growing leaves) to flowering (budding) and you now can see the white stigmas in full development. This is the time when plants are most vulnerable to powdery mildew and other molds- especially if it is humid, foggy, or rainy. There are several things that people can do to prevent mold.

1- They can use a fungicide that contains mostly potassium bicarbonate, which the plants consider fertilizer.

2- Serenade (c), is a product made from a bacteria that is interested only in molds, so it is perfectly safe for humans.

3- Or the fungicide that I developed Zero Tolerance (www.z-tolerance.com).

As a physical step, they can take an oscillating fan to dry any buds that are moist after rain.

Keep your plants healthy, and happy harvest!

Recently used zero tolerance (red label) for powdery mildew. Awesome stuff! I diluted it as per your recommendation, used it twice so far. No PM for the past 2 weeks now, first time in a few months. Thanks for a great product and all of the great info all these years. Peace.

I used zero tolerance red label for powdery mildew and it burned 3 trays of my crop! Really ruined everything. I mixed it up properly I sprayed it to the underside of the leaf first then the top and buds. Now the leaves are completely burned is there anything I can do at this point?

I have 20 year old seeds which are not sprouting. I would like to know fertilizer, hormone, and medium to use to to spout? I think I will also think I need to use a sterile technique. This is important to me since I had done 5 years of breeding to get what worked for me. I am a patient and started Patient Medical Alliance to serve patients.

Ive used zero tolerance for over a year now, at first i tried half strength and a quarter and it burned my plants a little. Now every 3-5 days during vegging I use 1 cup ZT, 2 Tsp. Einstein Oil, 1/8 tsp. coco wet, and 2 drops of classic ivory soap, to every 32 oz WARM water. Very safe to use during dark cycle, vegging only. And up to the 3rd week flowering. Use for preventing everything, think of this spray as essential as water!
