OVERGROW THE GOVERNMENTS
The Canadian Prime Minister, Stevie Harper, recently stated his conclusion that it was impossible to win the war against the Taliban. That was a great insight, especially for an ideologically right-wing politician.
Thinking back to 9/11, we might have won, we could have won, we should have won, and we would have won- but we lost. You see, it’s much harder to protect a perimeter than to attack it. George Washington knew this, he knew he didn’t have to win; he just didn’t have to lose. The British had to win; they didn’t, so they lost.
Afghanistan to the Americans is like the colonies to the British. You can hold the cities but you cant go into the countryside. You can’t march, you can’t convoy. Perhaps, Harper should use the same analytical process when dealing with the so-called drug war. The government may take some prisoners, may clean up a street, subdue an organization, but it’s still surrounded by a society oozing drugs. Fighting the drug war is as futile as fighting in Afghanistan or Iraq for the same reason- the population doesn’t support you. You can only make strikes; you can’t maintain your drug free country, province, state, city, or even one drug free block in an urban area, not one.
Stevie, lets get real. Right now, as you read this, and I hope you are reading this because I hope you are my friend on Spacebook… or are you still a Friendster? In the Capitol Building in Ottawa there is someone, in some office, in that building, right now who is lighting up. You can’t even control your own Capitol Building! How do you expect to have any effect on the availability of drugs throughout Canada? Better get up to Saskatchewan, there’s a big pot party going on there this Saturday, and how about the big grow in northern Alberta that you don’t even know about, I hear that stuff is going down to the U.S. to help with Canada’s balance of payments. Do you really want to lock up the mother of 3 who is taking a little time off, relaxing from a hard day’s work? Do you really want to disrupt the entrepreneur’s life? What is your goal? Where are you going? Why don’t you listen to Stevie Harper the wise man, the one who knows that you can’t win an unpopular war?
Now I can get to the subject. The 2009 season will soon be upon us and it is our duty as citizens of the world to provide planet earth with as much marijuana as possible. If you are reading this blog, it is your assignment. You too Stevie H.! Why? It’s not just to keep the police busy or to keep the courtrooms full, under the criminal justice full employment act and the drug exemptions to the constitutions. No! It is to make sure that everyone who wants, needs, or even is tempted to desire marijuana can enjoy it, can dream, fantasize, deal with reality, and plan a future with it. Get started now so that the plants are in the ground when the time comes around. Send your photos, the world wants to see them! 2009: the year to overgrow the governments, dedicated to Marc Emery.

I believe the government must change the current prohibition laws because they are unjust.
I should have the choice to use one of mother nature’s pure drugs over man made ones. Why? No waste for one. The plants clean carbon from the air for Mr. Al Gore’s cause. And there are very few known side effects!
End the drug wars by ending prohibition!
Time to strike a light, Mr. Harper!
You will see the whole truth!
Thanks, Mr. Rosenthal!
